We want to build an Early Learning Centre

Mount Zion wishes to create a positive, safe, educational, diverse and inclusive Early Learning Centre as another way of servicing our local community.

Mt Zion will be offering traditional early learning centre services to ensure that the needs of the children are being met and a multifaceted approach to child development is considered. Mt Zion believes in promoting inclusivity and has taken action to ensure that the childcare centre will be a safe and welcoming space for all. Some of its key steps to achieve this will be having multi-lingual staff, offering culturally informed lunches, and welcoming all families from diverse religious, cultural, and economic backgrounds.

Children’s Ministry

During the service, the children gather to learn and play.

Knit and Chat

Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks and instruction will be provided for beginners. Experienced knitters and crocheters, please bring along projects you are working on. All are welcome.

Public School Outreach

Our newest Outreach Program at Mt. Zion is going great!! Students at Woodland Heights P.S. are in need of snack items such as granola bars, Goldfish crackers, mini boxed cereals and other similar items. Please make sure all donated snacks are Peanut and Nut Free .

If you wish to donate snacks, please add them to the special “snacks bin” in the narthex

Fellowship with Nature

Our community garden is a place where people grow their own food and flowers, spend time in nature, be creative, exercise, and socialize.

Weddings

Mount Zion welcomes all requests for weddings and will perform marriages for couples of all sexual orientation and gender identity, except if there is evidence of serious abuse. We would be delighted to be a part of this special aspect of your life’s journey.

Facility Rentals
